We survived Alex's first week of school. There were no tears, at least from me. Today Joseph had a super busy schedule, so he asked me to pick up Alex from school. So I pack up Teagan and Abby Sue and head over. I'm super excited my first time picking him up. He walks out the door and starts to cry when he see us. He LOVES having Dad picking him up and biking to and from school. Poor Baby, but he survived.

Alex, or should I say Alexander (he decided he needed to be called Alexander on his fifth birthday), loves kindergarden. He loves the bike rides with Joseph to and from school everyday. And he loves the five minutes of hugs and kisses he gets from me when he gets home. And is so tired by 7pm. It is near wonderful. Though I miss him so much, I'm enjoying a completely kid free nap time. Yesterday I did all my chores and then still had an hour completely to my self. Today I got almost all of nap time! I'm not going to know what to do with myself. Joseph says I should reads some, but I'm pretty tired of Curious George and all those. I also feel no guilt in just staying home in just cleaning and playing. This afternoon was heaven. Me and three kids on our bed watching a movie and cuddling and wrestling. Teagan and I worked on teaching Abby Sue 'up.' Life is truly wonderful.

is what I'm trying to remind myself. Alex hit the whine tattling stage, and it came on fast and hard. Today during bath "Teagan just touched me," "Teagan moved closer to me," and my personal favorite "Teagan just hit me with water." Teagan was dumping water out of a cup and Alex got a few drops on him. I did have fun overdoing it too. Abby Sue thought it was funny. She was laughing the whole time. But she loves my play voices, she skips most of "Bear Snore On" just to get to the part where the bear wakes up. And she loves "The Monster at the End of the Book." Just another stage.

So I don't mind the fact that Alex doesn't take naps anymore. I just wish he would learn that quiet time is leave Momma ALONE time. I need some time to regroup, like all Moms out there. I have tried everything. During his quiet time it is alway up and down, then an hour of peace with his tv shows. That hour goes way to fast. Right now, Abby Sue is crying for me to get her out of bed. But I always hate the end of nap time (tear). Time for round two. DING!

Alex has been cracking me up lately with all his antics. Yesterday in the car, I was reaching over him to put Abby Sue in her seat. He reached up and went, "there's milk in here. it's heavy." Yes, he was bouncing my breast as he said it. So I informed him he was right that there was milk in there and it is heavy, but he is not allowed to touch. It is hard to be serious when all you want to do it laugh.

Today while I was getting dressed, Alex asked me why I had lots of loose hanging skin (not in those exact words). I tried to explain that I grow big babies and they need lots of room while they are in the tummy. And then it just hangs around till the next one. (I don't think he totally got it.) Though I won't mind it going away.

Then he told me all the babies in my tummy have run away. Then I ask him how do we get more. He was puzzled, so he told me he needs another sister so she can be his girlfriend. (Early signs of typical male behavior, when in doubt change the subject or ignore the question.) I then told him that if we have another sister she will be too young for him to play with (he wants a sister to come out his age). He was a bit sad about not being able to order a playmate his age.

He has also told me that he need another brother and sister. Though he can't make up his mind which he wants first.

Just for the record, no we are not expecting. A friend just had a baby girl at the beginning of the month and that brought forth all the baby questions.

4/5th of the house was kept away for 4+ hours last night. Alex was too busy screaming to tell us why. Yep, 4+ hours all Alex did was cry and scream. We asked and asked, and tried to comfort him. But he was determined to ruin a nights rest for Joseph, Teagan and me. So I warned him, the very first fit he threw , he would be going to bed with a spanking. It didn't take very long, he says he doesn't like the Panda Puff cereal. Then the fit began, I was too cranky, grumpy and tired to care. Threw him in bed, 10 minutes later he was OUT! I finally was able to wake him up before noon.

So, who want's to join us for fried Alex for dinner tonight?

I caved in today. I let Alex play on the Wii. I usually don't let him play on the wii due to the fits that result from turning it off. But at a lost of what to do with him, I put in Mario Party. Alex and I trampled the other team, good feeling. I also felt great due to the fact when Joseph and I play this, he carries the weight of the team, always winning every single game (there was one I won, till he figured out how to shake the can like I did). Now I won almost all the minigames (confession they were the simple games)! And I also realized I don't suck at it like I always thought. I loved congratulation Alex for his dice rolls of one or his good played minigame (yes he lost all but one). He left filling like he'd won, and I want it to stay that way.

After finishing a yummy dinner at Johnny Carinos, we went to help Grandpa and Grandma get in the car. Alex NEEDED to go potty, so Joseph and he runs inside to fix that problem. A few moments I hear Alex wailing. I turned and Joseph was busy laughing. He informed me that the moment Alex flushed the toilet he dropped his car in and it got flushed away. Poor Alex we all laughed at his expense. I promised him we'd go shopping to replace that car tomorrow, since it was 7:30pm and bath night. By the time we got home he mostly calmed down. Teagan still thought it was funny to say and all we hear was " Alex flushed car."

I'm not a fan of vain repetition, but Alex is. I sat down to do some blog surfing, and all I heard was "who's that?" The worse part is when I just inhaled from telling him. Oh, I wish his listening ears worked. Another favorite repetition is "is that for me?" Boy after hearing that a few hundred times each day I do pop. Today Annette and I went to the state farmer's market and got some yummy fruits and pork. We stopped by a grocery store on the way home so we could have bbq pork sandwiches, I had everything but the coleslaw. As Annette ran in I hear "What she buying?" "Coleslaw" "For me?1?" I popped, I was just telling Annette about this. "No! Not everything is for you. This is for everyone for lunch." Then after lunch, while Teagan and Abby Sue slept Annette, Alex and I went to JcPenny's. "Are we shopping for me?" "Yes, and me (I've discovered I can't shop for new clothes for me without help or I'll leave empty handed and flustered)." We return home with two pairs of shorts for Alex and clothes for me! Yea! Thanks for your help Annette.

Four years ago, I was admitted to UNC hospital to have my first bundle of trouble, opps I mean joy. And at the time we thought he was a large baby, Teagan has since shattered that. He is still large and in charge, all boy with steady gems of sweetness. Today was all about fun! We picked up my aunt Annette and went to Monkey Joes. For those who don't know, it is a inflatable playground, pretty reasonably priced. Joseph and I had a blast chasing our two boys around, Annette had fun playing with the Abby Sue. The best part was Teagan finally got the hang of it, and really started enjoying himself. He sund Monkey Joe's all day. We headed back to Annette's house for pizza and chill time. Joseph had some work to do, Alex watch too much tv, I got Teagan to take a nap! And Abby Sue napped too. Then we headed to our favorite place, Kuroma's Japaness Steak house for dinner with my grandparents. We decided to get the birthday package for Alex, so he got a song with the drum a piece of cheesecake and his picture in a card. What wonderful food! Afterwards we went to the toys store to let the boys spend some of their birthday moneys (yes Teagan still has a good amount left too). After trying to herd the kids and picking out toys, I think Teagan just had fun looking at all the toys. We headed home for bed and a Gus nasty mess clean up (surprise! grumble grumble).

Alex you are so much fun to have around. I'm also so happy that you are learning how to clean up. It makes life a lot better for everyone. You are also very much like your father, no fashion sense. Alex's favorite outfits are the ones that don't match and are covered in plaid. You have finally learned how to get along with Teagan and learned that it is fun to have him in the family too. You two are the best of friends. You also love Abby Sue, and it shows. So willing to do almost anything to help. Happy Birthday Alexander the Tate. Can't wait to see what is in store for us this year.
Tonight we went out to our favorite Chinese restaurant with my Grandparents Jackson. I wash having a hard time deciding what to eat, it is all very awesome! So I asked Abby Sue "What do you want to eat in a few hours?" Alex replied "Her fingers."
